Caption  :  Waiting to get through the 'gate' into the couloir Patou. The entrance to this gate was barely wide enough for one person at a time to side slip into, some guides fix a rope to help with entry into this couloir.

Caption  :  After skiing the couloirs, you end up on the Frozen Lac du Puvachier where you have to pole out of the flats. Looking back Couloir Patou is in partial sun and the bottom of the Banane (Banana) couloir is visible.
